A previous attorney detained for more than 6 months due to reporting on the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China has been fitted with a tube so she can be force-fed after she went on hunger strike, her attorney says.

Zhang Zhan, 37, was apparently not able to pull television out as her arms were restrained. She was detained in May and implicated of “choosing quarrels and stirring up trouble”, a charge typically used versus federal government critics and activists in China.
