LOCATION: St. Vincents East Trussville, AL
SHIFT: PRN as needed: 12-hour shifts. 48 hours a month required (one shift on the weekend)

St. Vincents East is a 362-bed hospital, located just 15 minutes from downtown. Situated between Irondale and Trussville, AL. It is the second largest Ascension hospital in the Birmingham area.
4North, Cardiovascular Step-Down is a private 18 bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. You will see cardiovascular/thoracic patients and families that are post coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), heart caths, valve replacements, thoracotomies, and many other cardiothoracic surgical procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).

Assists in providing care appropriate to population specific facilitating timely and individualized care of assigned patients.

Assists patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
*
Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
*
Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
*
BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained within1 Month (30 days)of hire date or job transfer date.
EDUCATION:
*
HS Diploma or GED required
