A lot of Nursing students work as licensed nursing assistants to get their foot in the door.We see it as a remarkable opportunity to learn due to the fact that we figure that we will we be around nurses who will hopefully take us under their wing as guide us by showing us how they work and perform skills, we almost see it as a chance to be on clinical and get paid at the same time which is amazing. As nursing students, we are so utilized to constantly having a teacher to fall back on and ask questions, someone to come into patient spaces with us and reveal us how to do things step by action and when we get out in the field, we anticipate that very same treatment by the experienced nurses were around while were working however that’s simply not the method it is typically. My guidance to all my nursing trainees out there is to work in a long term care facility at first, get you foot in the door, perfect your time management and think it or not, things are so routined in long-lasting care facilities that the nurses there are less stressed out and I in fact more most likely to have the time to teach and assist you.
