BrightStar Care of Pasco County is currently searching for experienced caregivers who can provide care to a autistic client in the New Port Richey area. The client has dementia, sleep apnea, and a fall-risk. The ideal candidate will perform daily ADL’s. Working days and hours are as followed: Sunday 8:30AM-8:30PM. Must be able to start immediately.

Position Status: PRN (Per Diem) W2

Responsibilities:

Care for individual based on personalized “Plan of Care”

Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping

Take and record vital signs as well as height and weight, if necessary

Assist client in active and passive range of motion defined by the plan of care, document observed changes, report any changes to the Director of Nursing

Assist client in walking and transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, shopping, etc.

Job Requirements

Current Licensed/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) Certificate

Certified CPR and TB skin test or chest x-ray

Current AHCA Level II background screening

Minimum one (1) year of documented healthcare experience required and/or combination of facility experience (facility work is also available)

Reliable car/driver’s license/auto insurance

Pass background and criminal record

Be able to pass drug screen

Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality

*Must meet requirements for hours, days and performance standards to qualify for new hire bonus.
